Dr. Hwang joined South Riding Family Medicine in 2006. Dr.Irving is a native of Fairfax, Virginia and has been in private practice in the area since 2002. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia. Dr.Hwang completed his residency at the Medical College of Virginia.
 
He is active in the hospital community and serves on the Infectious Disease committee at Columbia/HCA Reston Hospital and the Credentials committee at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital. While he enjoys the full scope of family medicine, he has a special interest in pediatric care, evidence based medicine, and computers in medicine.
 
In his free time he enjoys traveling, biking, skiing and trying new recipes in the kitchen with wife Nancy.
